Introduit en 2003, le moteur OM646 est l’\u00e9volution naturelle du moteur OM611, dont il se diff\u00e9rencie en augmentant la pression de suralimentation et d\u2019injection, qui est pass\u00e9e de 1350 bars \u00e0 1600 bars. De plus, de nouveaux injecteurs \u00e0 sept trous ont \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9s au lieu de six.
